Dear Toni,
Yesterday I attended the most amazing festival - UFO festival. It took place in Roswell, USA and hundreds of people participated. I went there with my friend.
People were wearing alien costumes and danced to lively music. Some pets even took part, dressed in shiny costumes. In the evening there was a fabulous firework display.
I had a fantastic time!
What about you? Were you at any interesting festival? Where? When? What was happening?
Write soon.

ReplyDeleteLast month I was at La Tomatina festival. It is traditional festival in Spain.
Day before the festival local people prepare streets and tomatoes for festival. On the day of festival people are throwing tomatoes on each other all day. Some people think it is disgusting and some that it is cool.
All in all I had great time there and I hope that one day you Will go there.
Take care,
Antonia
Dear Ivana,
ReplyDeleteLast week I went to Munich with my friends. We went to Oktoberfest- the world's largest beer festival. It took place in Theresienwiese, a public place in the center of Munich. It lasts 16-18 days.
There were so many people and they were wearing traditional Bavarian costumes. They were singing and dancing, and of course drinking the beer.
It was so fun and I hope that I will go again next year.
Take care,
Antea
Dear Ivana,
ReplyDeleteLast year i was in Japan. I happend to be there when The Awa Dance Festival was attended.
The Awa Dance festival lasts from 12 to 15 August, in Tokishima, Japan. It attracts millions of people each year. The people who are in charge for the festival, hire professional dancers to dance trought the street, but of course everyone can take a part. Professional dancers need to wear kimono, that parade would look prettier, and to keep the tradition alive, but because of that dancers can’t make big steps so their choreographies are made of small steps. This festival takes place in many other cities, for example Kagurazaka and Koenji.
It’s an unforgettable experiance, and I suggest you to go there when you can, trust me you won’t regret it.
Greetings, Marta
Dear Ivana
ReplyDeleteLast year I went to China with my family. I went to Chinese New Year festival. I had time of life, there were so many people and nobody was sad, everyone smiled. Everything is decorated with red colour and people were wearing red clothes, they said me that red colour brings good spirit. Children did what they want becouse if children cry it will be bad year. My favourite part of festival was huge parade with big dragons.
This is the best festival I ever seen. What are you doing? Were you at any festival? Did something interesting happen?
Whrite soon.
Petar
Dear Ivana,
ReplyDeleteLast year I was in Rio de Janeiro. I went to Carnival, arguably the biggest festival in the world. Brazil’s Carnival is widely considered “the greatest show on Earth.” The event attracts nearly 5 million people each year. The festival takes place in February or March, over the 5 days preceding the Catholic season of Lenta. There are so many people and they were wearing colourful costumes. They were dancing and walking in parade.
It was so fun and exciting and I hope that I will go there next year with my friends.

Dear teacher,
ReplyDeleteLast week I went to famous Snow and Ice festival. It takes place in Harbin, China. It starts 5 January and lasts 30 days.
The Harbin festival is the largest snow and ice festival in the world, and it features carvings towering over 20 feet in height and full-size buildings made from gigantic blocks of ice.
There are two main exhibitons:
1) Sun Island is a recreational area on the opposite side of the Songhua River from the city, which features an expo of enormous snow sculptures.
2)Ice and Snow World is an area open in the afternoon and at night which features illuminated full size buildings made from blocks of 2–3' thick ice taken directly from the Songhua River.
You can participate in international competitions and build your own sculptures.
During the festival, there are ice lantern park touring activities held in many parks in the city. Winter activities during the festival include Yabuli alpine skiing, winter-swimming in the Songhua River, and the ice-lantern exhibition in Zhaolin Garden.
At the end of the festival there is usually enormus number of visitors (18 million) and huge amount of money that has been collected ($4.4 billion).
I think everyone should visit this festival because this is the best celebration that I have been to.
